Card Board.

“Have you ever wondered why God gives so much? We could exist on far less. He could have left the world flat and grey; we wouldn’t have known the difference. But he didn’t”.  “He splashes orange in the sunrise and cast the sky blue. And if you love to see geese as they gather, chances are you’ll see that too. Did he have to make the squirrels tail furry? Was he obliged to make the birds sing? And the funny way chickens scurry or the majesty of thunder when it rains? Why give flower a fragrance? Why give food a taste? Could it be he loves to see that look upon your face?”- Max Lucado, He Chose the Nails. God made the world so beautiful for us. Besides the squirrels furry tails and majestic thunder, Jesus also gave us sex. Yes sex, the forsaken topic when Jesus is ever brought up, or so you may think. But the truth is God made sex for us to enjoy! The bible talks about sex on many occasions.” Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.  She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love.” What? Sex is a good thing? Of course it is. God created sex to be a beautiful and enjoyable expression of love, but only between a man and wife. Genesis 1: 27-28 – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number;” Again, like I said God made all things but with boundaries. Think about premarital sex like this. Say you take two pieces of card board and super glue them together. This symbolizes having sex. Then you break up with that person, so the two pieces of card board have been ripped apart. The pieces never look the same, they are all ripped up. So you get in another relationship, have sex with the person. Eventually break up and the “card board” has been ripped apart again. Eventually you are in pieces, and broken. Then when you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you cannot give the person everything that you are because you are in pieces and have already given yourself to so many other guys, or girls. See how the worlds view on sex is so different then what the truth is? So many people who learn the truth, and are dealing with the consequences of premarital sex are like, “well this sucks; now I am ruined”. There is good news! God forgives all sins, and will make you a new person. The bible says, “Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God.”  What a great testimony to your future husband or wife to be able to say, “I sinned, but I learned the truth and waited 3 years for you”, or 10 years, or however long it may be. That is a great thing you can give to your future spouse. Jesus is not saying that it’s going to be easy, or you are never going to be tempted, But he promises that he will be with you through it. “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” -1 Corinthians 10:13. Chances are you’re like, no this is stupid, wrong and I would never believe this. Well that’s the reaction we Christian are told you would have, so good job! Jesus said Christians will be looked at as crazy, and not normal. Again, I do not care what people think about me. Only if you are seeing him through me!
